Canadian Firearms Safety Course
Course Description:
The Canadian Firearms Safety Course is a training program designed to teach people how to safely handle firearms. The course is offered in two parts: non-restricted and restricted.
Non-Restricted Courses are offered on Saturdays. This course is for people who want to own and use non-restricted firearms, such as rifles and shotguns. During the course, you'll learn about firearm safety rules, how to store and transport firearms, and how to properly use and handle them.
Restricted Course are offered on Sundays. This course is for people who want to own and use restricted firearms, such as handguns. In addition to the topics covered in the non-restricted course, you'll learn about additional regulations specific to restricted firearms.
Both courses involve both classroom instruction and hands-on training, and you'll need to pass a written and practical exam at the end of each course to demonstrate your knowledge and competency.
Successfully completing the Canadian Firearms Safety Course is required to obtain a Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL), which is needed to legally own and purchase firearms in Canada. By taking the course, you'll gain valuable knowledge and skills to ensure that you handle firearms safely and responsibly.
